(Diploma of Vocational Studies - DVS)
If you are interested in becoming a truck driver, here is
what you have to do.
- Attend an information session (contact the Centre to
register).
- Meet the requirements of the Ministère de
lÉducation, de Loisir et du Sport:

An
Attestation of Equivalence for Secondary Studies
(AESS) |

Secondary
IV credits in English, French as a second language
and mathematics |

General Development Test (GDT) |

Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) including secondary 4th credits in English, French as a second language, mathematics |

(MICC) |
- You must comply with the following requirements of the
Société d'assurance automobile du Québec
(SAAQ) to obtain a class 1 permit:

Holder
of a class 5 driver's permit for at least 36 months; |
| -
|
Your
record must not have more than 3 demerit points; |
| -
|
Your
driver's licence must not have been suspended or
revoked during the previous two years as the result
of accumulating demerit points or a driving-related
Criminal Code conviction; |

|
Proof
attesting that you meet the optometric standards
of the SAAQ and a medical report from a healthcare
professional. |
- Successfully complete a vocational
psychology test.
- Pass an English comprehension test.
